Meet Lucy. She’s outgoing, ambitious and just got her first job! Lucy participated in our LEAP program where she attended classes focused on enhancing soft skills. After successfully completing the program, Lucy knew she was ready to work! She began meeting with our employment coordinator, Rachel, and they developed a resume, practiced interviewing, went on site visits and worked on an employment plan. Within weeks, she was offered and accepted a position as a Teacher’s Assistant at Growing Together Preschool! Lucy loves working with kids and aspires to earn her Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential and continue growing in this field of work. In fact- she’s already started! Since beginning work at GTP, she has proven herself to be a great worker and was even asked to begin working additional hours. When asked about what she likes about working at GTP, she’ll tell you,
