Employment Coordinator

Position Summary

Responsible for the rehabilitation services which lead to successful community-based employment of consumers with disabilities and barriers to employment. Responsible for facilitating work readiness and job placement and retention activities for participants in OVR, SNAP E&T, Workforce Reentry, and other program initiatives.. Responsible for maintaining communication with all relevant parties involved with the consumers and awareness of available community resources and provides appropriate referrals for consumers. Documents all consumer related issues per company policy and as required by referral sources.


· Minimum educational requirement: Bachelor Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or closely related field. Educational requirements must be verified prior to employment. Experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or barriers to employment. Experience may substitute for education.

· Preferred Master Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or closely related field

· Minimum work experience: At least 6 months of experience in a rehabilitation setting, or completion of rehabilitation internship, or one year of supervisory experience in business.

· Valid Kentucky Driver’s License with good driving record.

Direct Support Professional

Direct Support Professionals with Advancing Capabilities Enhancing Skills (ACES) provide one-on-one, individualized supports to individuals with intellectual and development disabilities in Central KY.  DSPs assist individuals with achieving their daily goals and increasing independence in the community and at home.  DSPs must be reliable and responsible to provide high quality care, and be creative and caring individuals who are willing to go above and beyond to help their participants grow.

ACES is hiring for part-time and full-time hours in Lexington and surrounding counties.  Hours are based on participant needs and available mornings, evenings, and weekends.  Wages and benefits are competitive and based on experience.


  • Eighteen (18) years old and has a high school diploma or GED; OR

  • Twenty-one (21) years old;

  • Has the ability to:

    • Maintain participant health, safety, and welfare;

    • Communicate effectively;

    • Read, understand, and implement written and oral instructions;

    • Perform required documentation; and

    • Work both independently and as part of a team;

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable operating transportation, and proof of current auto insurance
