City of Lexington

The City of Lexington supports workforce development in our community through its Economic Development Grants.  This video segment is a snap shot to show the impact the grants made in the community over the first year, and features William Moment's success story at OWL.

WKYT

This brief segment entitled "Lexington nonprofit's 3D printers impacting classrooms and lives" interviews OWL employee, Steve, and OWL President/CEO, David, about OWL's mission and the popular 3D printing project. 

Polar 3D

Polar 3D featured their partnership with LMC (the manufacturing division of OWL) on their blog and on their newsletter in 2016- the article showed some insanely cool items 3D printed at OWL.

Social Enterprize Alliance

In celebration of our membership, as a founding member of the KY SEA chapter, and our 55th anniversary the national Social Enterprise Alliance spotlighted OWL in their online newsroom in 2016. 

Herald Leader

KY Gov. Steve Brashear held a press conference to launch "Reworking Kentucky" - a program to help Kentuckians move from a life of drug abuse and addiction to one of sobriety and productivity. Melissa Johnson from OWL was the featured speaker, advocating for this cause in 2015. 

Business Lexington

Business Lexington helped us welcome three new board members, Phil Blandford, Bradley King and Johnathon Davis, in their September 2015 "Who's Who" article. 

Tops in Lexington

Tops in Lexington featured the OWL Foundation's 8th annual golf outing on their events and photos page in 2015. 

Heart of Gold

WKYT's “Heart of Gold” program is devoted to spotlighting the non-profit organizations impacting the community positively every day. OWL's division ACES was featured in this segment. 

Real Life Radio Podcast

David and Margaret of OWL were interviewed for Real Life Radio's "Care to Share" Podcast where the segment featured some of our absolutely awe-inspiring program participants.

KET & kNOw MORE

A clip about OWL was aired on KET by kNOw MORE. kNOw MORE is an organization that explores what a world without nonprofits would look like, highlighting their important role in a community.

 

 

Heart of Gold

OWL had the opportunity to be interviewed by Paul Chartier to be featured on the Heart of Gold program that spotlights nonprofits within the Lexington community in a 2014 episode.

This story highlighted many of our services including our customer service representative training program, in the August 2014 issue of Tops in Lexington's Tops Cares.

KY Forward

KY Forward, Kentucky’s online newspaper, featured our 52nd anniversary while highlighting some of our rich history in an October 2013 article. 

Salute to Small Business Award

OWL was given Commerce Lexington's 2012 Salute to Small Business Award, Non-profit Category. This award recognizes a non-profit organization that has shown significant impact and return on investment, the ability to inspire and engage volunteers, and ways to maximize its output and reach within the community.

David Boggs, President/CEO of OWL, was asked to contribute a quote to Travelhost's "Why I Love Kentucky!" feature article. You can spot him on pg. 21 of the November 2012 edition.
