Diversification Project 2002
Initiatives:
- Hired a Director of Manufacturing.
Laying the groundwork, with a goal of ISO 9001:2000 Certification
Employee Involvement:
- Team structure and meetings
- Development of Vision Statement
- Safety/Housekeeping
The employees of LMC have created the following Manufacturing Vision Statement: We, the Production Department at LMC, are Professional Manufacturers. We effectively employ the best and latest practices known within the Manufacturing community and are recognized by that community, our customers and within LMC for our performance excellence. Also, we recognize that this is a never ending process of continued improvement.
Quality Initiatives:
- Process controls (Process certification, Quality checks)

Productivity Initiatives:
- Process mapping (eliminate waste)
- Production layout (continuous flow, space utilization, efficiency)

Diversification Project 2003
Achievements:
- Hired a Quality Engineer (documentation, details)
- Performed an Internal Audit March 2003.
- Quality Management System for ISO 9001: 2000 certification
- Training to certify two Internal Auditors
- Hired a Manufacturing Engineer
Diversification Project 2004
Achievements:
- Renamed Mfg. Dept. "Lexington Manufacturing Center"
- Implemented an Incentive Pay program that enables employees to earn a living wage.
- Added two major accounts to our Customer Base
- Hired a Quality Assurance Manager
- Purchased 40,000 sq. foot building for expansion
